Proprietary Private Security Officers (PSO) Training Course - CA


The 16-hour Propreitary Private Security Officer Training is the mandatory training you will need if you are interested in becoming a licensed PSO in California.

This quality and affordable course satisifies all of your California training requirements and includes the following training: 2-hours of Powers-to-Arrest, 2-hours of Weapons of Mass Destruction, and 12-hours of related security curriculum in keeping with BSIS regulations.


The Proprietary Private Security Officers (PSO) Training Course consists of 16 hours of training.  It should be completed within the first six months from either the date of employment or date of issuance of the proprietary private security officer’s registration by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).

This course fulfills the California training requirements of 2-hours of Power-to-Arrest training, 2-hours of Weapons of Mass Destruction training and 12 hours of other security related courses as stated in the course outline. The course is based on the CA Department of Consumer Affairs’ Power to Arrest Training Manual, and CA State BSIS course syllabus.
