Checklist for Getting Your Guard Card Online
- Completion of a four hour training course on Power to Arrest. The instructional material should be based on the California Department of Consumer Affairs’ Power to Arrest Training Manual. The course helps you to satisfy the initial requirement of completing eight hours of training before you get your guard card.
- Completion of a four hour training course on Weapons of Mass Destruction. This course should be based on the course syllabus from the California State Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). This course can complete your initial eight hours of required training which California law mandates you undergo before getting a guard card.
